I’ve known Ysabel since she was a little girl. Any time I would come over to their house, she and her sisters would play “hair dresser” and play with my hair and give me “manicures.” I was beyond thrilled when she contacted me to take her senior photos.
Ysabel’s style is cool and casual yet very feminine. I knew exactly where I wanted to shoot her, Discovery Park. We ended up shooting at several locations in the park but time flew by as we laughed, took photos and chatted (or more like gossip).
Ysabel gave me a look of “you kidding me?” when I asked her to go underneath this tree.
It’s difficult to tell by this photo, but majority of the lower branches practically touched the ground to the point where it looked like a cave full of creepy crawlers. It took some convincing for her to go into the “tree cave” but it was worth it. The tree and the area was quite dark from where we were standing but I just loved the light coming into the branches.
Towards the end of the session, we took a few shots with Ysabel’s older sister, Rachelle. I took her Senior Portrait about 2 years ago.
The camera just loves these girls!
Stay warm and hug your loved ones.
