Chricelle and Brian decided it was time to update their family photos with their new baby boy addition, Romeo. We needed to find a place in Seattle with a nice view and where the boys (Jakob and Levi) could run freely. Luckily for us, we found a small charming park in West Seattle’s Alki Beach area.
You never know what a photo session will be like when working with kids. We made sure to schedule plenty of time so they could warm up to us. This is when our imagination had to kick into full gear. While Grace took photos of the mom and dad, I was playing “swim and run with the baby dolphins, whales, lions, tigers, and bears, oh my! … [and repeat].”
How do you get these boys to pay attention to the camera? Let them be themselves. It helps to make it a competition but most importantly, keep them entertained!
Who can make the silliest face? Let’s see who has the biggest smile.
Hold still … 1-2-3 jump!
Let’s pretend there’s a big shark. Uh oh, the baby dolphin is sleeping, we have to be very quiet.
Who wants to race? Race you to your dad! Ready, set, go!
Mommy and Daddy need a hug. Squeeze hard if you love them!
After an hour of family portraits, the little boys were ready to go home. There may have been some tired tears and a little bit of ice-cream bribery to finish up with the photoshoot but it was worth it. Cheers to Chricelle+Brian and their three precious boys.
Ahhh, brotherly love. I think these series of photos highlight their relationship.
Left photo – All smiles as Levi reaching towards Jakob.
Middle photo – The pinch. Levi laughs as Jakob yelps from the pain.
Right photo – Forgiveness.
This is probably my favorite series from this session. One minute he was smiling and then he disappeared. And then POOF, he reappeared. LOL.
Hope everyone had a great summer — we sure did!
