Happy holidays! Hope everyone is finishing up their last minute shopping and staying warm. Here’s a little photoshoot I’d like to share with you.
You may recognize the Alnas family. I’ve taken their photos many times over the years — from their wedding, birthday parties, child’s baptism, etc. We’ve shared many of their milestones together and I’ve been honored to capture many of those memories. It’s been over a year since we’ve last seen each other and I can’t believe how much their two little girls (Camille “Cami” and Peyton “Pey”) have grown. Pey (the youngest) was barely walking the last time I saw her and now she’s running … away from me and the camera! You’ll see…
It was a bone-chilling morning in Tacoma, WA but thank goodness I remembered to grab handwarmers. You’ll notice that in some of the shots, Cami is holding onto those little warmers keeping her cute little fingers warm. Keeping her a tad warm was probably why she cooperated with me more than her little her sister.
Below, it looks like Peyton is posing for the camera but really, she was checking to see how much farther she has to run up the stairs to get away from me.
This photo below is one of my favorite shots from our session. It’s so real that it’s imperfectly perfect. Does that even make sense? I can’t blame her. It was really cold and she wanted to play! =)
No better way to end a session than with a cup of piping hot chocolate and snowman cookies! Starbucks to the rescue.
Here’s to another great season! Happy holidays and merry Christmas to all. Stay warm and hug your family members.
